How to Reset Your Z-Flash Module

This tutorial will explain how to restore your Z-Flash module to its factory settings.

Before you begin, please note that you should only reset your Z-Flash module if:

• Your Z-Flash module is malfunctioning
• You made a major installation mistake
• You were instructed to do so by a sales support representative

There are two simple ways to perform a factory reset on your Z-Flash module. Once you have restored your Z-Flash module to its default settings, all customizations and saved settings will be completely erased. 

Option 1

1. Plug your module into your computer using the provided USB cable.
2. Open the Z-Flash Software on your desktop.
3. The Z-Flash Programming Utility window will appear. Select “Update Device.”
4. A new window will appear containing two tabs: “Automatic” and “Manual.” Select the “Manual” tab.
5. Click on “Default Settings.” 
6. The following message will appear: “Are you sure you want to factory reset this device?” Select “Yes.”
7. After 15 seconds, factory settings will be restored.

Option 2

1. Plug your module into your computer using the provided USB cable.
2. Open the Z-Flash Software on your desktop.
3. In the Z-Flash Programming Utility window, select “Configure Device.”
4. On the right-hand side of the screen, click on the “Reset to Defaults” button.
5. The following message will appear: “Are you sure you want to factory reset this device?” Select “Yes.”
6. After 15 seconds, factory settings will be restored.
